 1st Annual Skeet Shoot

July 29th @ 9AM

27743 SE 424th ST

Enumclaw WA 98022

This event is designed around our youth, first time hunters, and veterans. Waterfowl season starts in late September and we want to have an event that can bring together those passionate about our cause to have some fun and get ready for the waterfowl season. We have a division for youth shooters and will be offering some great hunting tips. Only 60 main event tickets will be sold because that is all the room we have for shooters. However, feel free to bring your friends and family. Especially bring someone that is new to the sport and wants to get an idea of what it is that brings us all together.
You want to learn some calling techniques? Maybe you just want to see some of our guides and discuss decoys or other hunting topics? We will have calling classes and many other instructional classes for those that want to learn more about the sport.
We will have booklets and other literature that you can take home and study as well. This will be a fun event to bring the whole family and enjoy the other activities.
The outcome from this event is to allow us to purchase the lease on a local farm to create a safe learning environment for youth, first time hunters, and veterans. Much of our local public hunting space is very difficult for someone new to the sport, or disabled, to gain a foothold. They get chased off or do not find success and give up. We want to help curb that by offering a chance to get someone learning the right way to waterfowl in a safe setting.
With the purchase of a ticket you will receive
All needed ammunition for the days activities
Lunch to include hot dogs/hamburgers, beverage, chips, and condiments.
Chance to win random drawing prizes
1 round of skeet (25 clays) at 3 different courses for a total of 3 rounds per shooter
The opportunity to help your local community and give first time hunters, veterans, and youth a place to learn about waterfowl
This will be an incredibly fun event that you will not want to miss. There will be a limit of shooters but you can bring friends and family to watch and join in the fun. We are adding many more fun activities and prizes as we get more local and national sponsors.

The event is free unless you are going to compete in the skeet shoot. Hay rides, blow up kids bounce house, and much more for the general audience. Suggested donation of $6 for lunch.

$100 entry ticket includes 3 rounds of skeet, ammo, lunch, and prizes. it won't be your typical shoot. it's got a waterfowl flavor.

Questions can be sent to me Kaliber Olson #206.697.2596 Or our website has all the information and a way to purchase tickets and contact us.

We also have an event created on our Facebook page Issaquah chapter delta waterfowl that I will try to get a link to.

USAYESS in Partnership with YESS4MN reports on their inaugural USAYESS Youth Outdoor Experience (Y.O.E.) in South St. Paul, MN

USAYESS in partnership with YESS4MN (Youth Education in Shooting Sports for Minnesota) held its first annual Y.O.E. Youth Outdoor Experience event this past weekend, Saturday, April 26th and Sunday April 27th at the South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club in South St. Paul, Minnesota and had a great turnout. Despite inclement weather, 331 athletes and 49 teams, including 24 new teams, showed up to participate in the event.

Over $350,000.00 in Midway USA Foundation endowment funds were awarded to participating youth shooting teams.

“There are a lot of people I need to thank for the success of this first Youth Outdoor Experience,” said Cal Munkvold, President of Youth Education in Shooting Sports for Minnesota, (YESSN). “First off I want to thank Jeff McClure and Larry and Brenda Potterfield of the Midway USA Foundation who have been so vital to the development, progression and especially the funding of youth shooting sports across the nation. I’d like to thank Mike Borg with USAYESS. Mike is a true leader in the development of youth shooting sports and the education of youth in wildlife conservation on a local, state, and national level. Thanks to USA Shooting Team members, Nick Boerboon and Morgan Craft who demonstrated to these athletes the level of expertise they’ve developed through years of practice and hard work and shared their experiences as to what it’s like to represent the United States and compete all over the world in shooting sports. I want to thank all the vendors who came out and educated the participants on youth shooting and wildlife conservation. A very special thank you goes out to all the volunteers who ran the tournament and set up the event. They’re the unsung heroes who put in countless hours of preparation behind the scenes and kept the tournament running smoothly. Last but not least, I want to thank all the coaches and parents who have dedicated themselves to making youth shooting sports a positive and exciting experience in these athletes’ lives through coaching, time commitments, and financial support. Without their example and encouragement on a day to day basis, none of this would be possible.”

As with any organization, funding is a top priority. So here are a few proven programs:

Introduced in 2014 our USAYESS Family Outdoor Experience (F.O.E.) events are intended to introduce youth in elementary school through high school and their families to firearm safety, shooting sports, including competitive shooting, wildlife and wildlife habitat conservation. These one day (Saturday) events are free to the general public. Youth get to experience Skeet, Trap, Archery, .22 rifle target shooting and BB Guns while under the care of certified instructors. Conservation groups are on site to teach about outdoor wildlife conservation. If you would like to have a booth at one of these events, please contact us at 831-229-4872.

Introduced and designed back in 2000 by Dennis Rohman (Golden State YESS) and Mike Borg, as a fun way to raise funding our Break-A-Clay day is a fun filled one day event that is based on the national program Walk-A-Thon. First introduced in California this event has proven to be a huge and fun event for the team. athletes and community. Simple to implement by solicating funds based on targets broken. This program is such a huge success that other organizations have picked up on it and are designing their own programs. Either way, it's a great fundraiser. To download a model and donation form pleasego to NEWS or contact us at 831-229-4872.
